We wanted to make sure you can get the most from the 5" DayMakers so we offer 2 colored lens covers in addition to the clear one it is provided with. Taking the covers off is really easy, this make it simple to change out the type of color you want your light output to be. Just pry on the tab and it pops off.
Cover options:
- Green for dust and easy on your eyes to help preserve night vision due to wave length of the color.
- Yellow for a classic appearance and also great in dust/low visibility conditions.
- Black is a solid cover in case you have local laws that prohibit you from running accessory lights on the highway or you just want to protect the lens.

How to install LED lights on Toyota Tacoma?
Installation depends on your mounting location. If you have existing pod light housings (bumper, A-pillar, or light bar mounts), bolt the DayMaker bracket in place, connect the wiring harness, and route power through a relay to your battery—typically 2–3 hours for an experienced builder. For custom fabrication or bumper integration, plan additional time for drilling and wiring. GGLighting includes the bracket and harness; professional installation is recommended if you're unfamiliar with 12V off-road wiring.
Why have LED lights behind TV?
This question does not apply to the DayMaker pod light. If you're asking about ambient lighting behind a vehicle-mounted monitor or display, that serves aesthetic and functional purposes (reducing glare, improving visibility at night). The DayMaker is a functional off-road work light, not decorative ambient lighting.
Does Toyota Tacoma have automatic headlights?
Yes—most 3rd generation (2016–2023) and newer Tacoma models offer automatic headlight systems as standard or optional equipment, depending on trim and year. However, the DayMaker is an auxiliary light (not a headlight replacement) and operates independently on a separate circuit and switch. You'll control it manually via the included wiring harness and toggle switch.
